Position Overview
This is a non-medical, hands-on role. Similar to a physical therapy aide or a community mentor, your primary responsibility is to assist, guide, and support individuals with their daily routines, social skills, and personal goals.

No prior caregiving experience is required. We provide 100% paid, comprehensive in-house training to equip you with all state-required skills and certifications needed to succeed from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Support: Assist individuals with daily living activities, personal care, meal preparation, medication administration support, and maintaining a clean, comfortable living environment.
Community Integration: Accompany and safely transport individuals to personal errands, medical appointments, social activities, and local community events.
Goal Achievement: Assist individuals in reaching personal growth and independence goals outlined in their Individual Support Plans.
Compassionate Care: Build positive, respectful relationships that foster dignity, confidence, and trust.
Thorough & Accurate Documentation: Maintain precise, timely daily shift logs, track progress on Individual Support Plan goals, record health metrics, and document Medication Administration Records with meticulous accuracy. High attention to detail in record-keeping is essential to ensure member safety and fulfill state regulatory requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Must possess or be eligible to obtain an Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Must successfully pass all state and federal background checks, including the DES Central Registry (Child Abuse/Neglect) and Adult Protective Services (APS) Registry.
Must provide proof of a negative Tuberculosis (TB) test or medical clearance upon receiving a conditional offer of employment
Ability to complete all mandatory Arizona DES/DDD certifications during onboarding (provided at 100% paid cost by Nova Z), including Article 9, In-Person CPR & First Aid, and AHCCCS Direct Care Worker (DCW) competency training.
Valid Arizona Driver’s License, active auto insurance, reliable vehicle, and a clean 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for member transportation.
Physical ability to perform essential job functions— with or without reasonable accommodation— including standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and assisting individuals with physical transfers.

Nova Z Health is a growing Arizona Supported Living / HCBS agency, and this role is designed for a experienced direct care professional who wants a real, structured path into field management. Compensation: $19.00-$24.00/hr + $1.25/hr Team Override + Company-Sponsored Certifications
Position Overview
You will start in the field doing 1-on-1 direct care with our members. As our member census grows, you will hand off those direct-care shifts to new DSPs whom you train, shifting your hours into scheduling, field supervisory audits, and on-the-job coaching.
Key Responsibilities
Phase 1: Establish the Standard (Direct Care)
Deliver high-quality, 1-on-1 direct care following member Individual Support Plans and Behavior Support Plans.
Set the agency benchmark for daily shift logs, incident reporting, and Electronic Visit Verification compliance.
Work closely with Nova Z Health’s Care Director to translate care strategies into daily shift routines.

Phase 2: Field Training & Staffing (Transition)
Lead on-the-job training (OJT) by having new DSP hires shadow you on active shifts.
Coach new hires on proper de-escalation, member routines, and state-compliant documentation.
Handle initial shift scheduling, minor peer friction, and real-time field troubleshooting.
Phase 3: Field Supervision (Scale)
Transition out of routine direct-care shifts into full field supervision, scheduling, and site audits.
Act as the first line of defense for emergency shift call-outs to protect member care continuity.
Conduct regular field quality audits to ensure DSPs under your supervision remain fully compliant with DDD standards.
Compensation & Incentives
Direct Care Hourly Rate: $ 19.00/ hr (Paid for billable 1-on-1 care shifts).
Admin / Supervisory Hourly Rate: $ 22.00 / hr (Paid for scheduling, OJT, field audits, and clinical alignment meetings).
Supervisory Override Bonus:$1.25 per billable hour completed by DSPs under your supervision. As you train and deploy DSPs, your monthly income increases without requiring you to work physical direct-care hours.
Professional Growth Sponsorship: Nova Z Health will fully sponsor your NADSP (National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals) Certification via the E-Badge Academy
Long-Term Upside: Eligibility for a structured quarterly profit-sharing pool once the agency reaches sustained operational milestones.

Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or in a related DDD/caregiver role preferred.
